A mother is in custody after deputies found her fetus dead in a trash can in the back yard

MACON, GA (WGXA/CNN) - A mother is in custody after deputies found her fetus dead in a trash can in the back yard.

The 30-year-old mother said her water broke at around 5 a.m. Wednesday.

An ambulance took her to the hospital, where doctors examined her and found out she already had given birth.

When sheriff's deputies went to her home, they found a female fetus dead in the trash can.
