Does anyone remember.
I don't like "Tubby Trump" but it would hit him where it hurts, it's childish playground talk, and it could stick, but 1.) I'd rather not propose on which is based on physical characteristics, and 2.) I'd like to tap into the confirmation bias that Trump uses with "lyin' Ted" and "Crooked Hillary." (So that everything you see them you think of this because of their character.
Others:
Deferment Donald
Duplicitous Donald

Hey, Dodging Donald works for both.

(314 posts)You don't need to add the "con" part. Self-explanatory.
"Dodgy Don" is short, punchy, memorable and gob-smackingly spot on true, without being gross..

(1,446 posts)Or I could settle for just referring to him as "Chapter 11". No need to include any part of his name in it.

(19,357 posts)Make you think of Daffy Duck think of Donald Duck) and if fits the confirmation bias, we all thinks he's daffy.

(10,429 posts)Short, simple, & it's a D-word.
Plus, in addition to dodging the draft and dodging taxes, Dodging Donald tRump also dodges the truth even more.
That could catch on even among the ignorant Lyin-Ted supporters.

I don't think this was in the prior thread.

(4,446 posts)The reason why Trump's nicknames have stuck is because they're 2 syllable words. Catchy. Easy to say. No one is going to go around saying "Duplicitous Donald." Or "Draft Dodging Donald." All you need is Phony Donald. It fits him perfectly. It fits today's dust-up. Phony Donald said he raised money for veterans, but the press had to badger him into it. Phony Donald called the press liars, when he actually lies all the time. And so forth.

(19,357 posts)is Phony Donald better than my Dodging Donald, and I would say it is.
Dodging Donald speaks to an activity which is best applied to his relationship with the draft, the IRS, and the truth. That's pretty good.
BUT
Phony Donald, while lacking the alliteration, speaks to his essence. Dodging is just the manifestation of that essence.
Trump's nicknames at times focus on essence (Crooked Hillary, Low-Energy Jeb) and at times on its manifestations (Lyin' Ted), but they are always best when they (as Scott Adams said on Real Time last Friday) confirm a pre-existing perception of the figure and work even better when every time you see the figure the nickname is applicable.
So everytime you see Trump you will think Phony Donald, and his mannerisms and speech and lifestyle and change of ideas, and non-ideas. etc, all confirm the notion of phoniness.
I suggest we try to engrain Phony Donald on the public mind.
