CNN took the presumptive Republican presidential nominee to school, as Dana Bash explained to Trump the
meaning of the First Amendment and the purpose of a free press

The Media Has Had Enough Of Donald Trump As The First Amendment Strikes Back

This is great-- he's enraging the media-- no one does that with impunity, not even drumpf

He's been playing them like a Stradivarius for far too long, and they've been playing along to suck up the ratings.

Hopefully, this will go somewhere. It's one thing to have 70% of the populace dislike you, hell he could probably overcome that, but when the press turns on you, Katie bar the door.

.....but are they going to do anything about it?...are they going to quick giving him free publicity?....are they going to ask probing questions and demand answers not insults?...I won't hold my breath.

He thinks he can get away with anything, but I think he's pushing his luck w-a-a-y too far.

But we'll see. This story does seem to have legs.

but the press has been such an utter disappointment so much of the time since the w that I'm not sure they won't go back to "business as usual"

....as you say, we shall see.

He thinks he's God's gift to the media. If he keeps pissing them off, he'll have his ass handed to him by media who have bent over backwards for him only for Trampolini to bite the hand that feeds him. We've seen what they can do to those who push the press too far--and it isn't pretty!

They have to be pretty impervious to facts and rational argument to support him in the first place, so "schooling" him on the 1st Amendment is unlikely to change any of their minds (if the term "mind" is applicable).

he hangs on for a few more weeks, he can have a snit-fit and refuse the nomination at the convention. Hen the R's will be thoroughly bollocksed up, and it will have been an epic con.

He just needs a way out that can plausibly be blamed on media, or the Republican party (not enough fundng to run an effective campaign?), rather than having his supporters turn on him.
