And I actually think it was not an act for the most part. Some of this stuff for Kim Jong il seems feigned - so many are "nostalgic" for the seeming good ol' days of his father. That's why the propaganda machine will try to make Kim Jong Un seem like the reincarnation of a young Kim il Sung, which he does indeed look like.

Back then only a few men wore Western style business suits. Now there are many women dressed in Western styles.

I couldn't find the window that popped up and could only hear the sound, man that is fucking chilling, the women wailing and the announcer sounding like a demented witch.

So far son number 3 seems to be the most sane member of this very strange family.

BTW how in the world did you find the live feed for this?

Wow another wave of hysterical crying!

I follow a lot of foreign media. I follow N. Korea Economy Watch website and this live stream of Korean Central TV (KCTV) was noted. Oddly, the stream is hosted in S. Korea where it is highly illegal.

You watch NK Economy Watch?

What is that like and why do you watch it?

Korean or English?

The NK's have prison camps and they know how to use them.

Maybe that particular country will become a tourist attraction for people who hate "brats". The only children allowed in public there seem to be guitar or dance prodigies. Very charming and entertaining!

That is impressive. Standing exactly where they are supposed to in perfect formation and wailing hysterically while a microphone can be seen extended directly in front of them.

I wonder if they get bonuses for the decibel or the amount of tears. Looks like they have every modern car in North Korea assigned to parade duty.

Can you imagine how strange this must be for the South Koreans to watch this?

It may be partly cultural. Which is interesting because the Korean people are pretty culturally conservative overall.

Other cultures moan and wail more than we do at funerals. Add the ridiculous cult of the state in NK and this is what you get.

National Lampoon's Korean Vacation Funeral. I thought the Griswold's had decided to take a vacation in South Korea...accidentally busted through the DMZ, came across the hearse that had broken down and Clark, being the good guy he is, offered to strap the casket up on the roof.

This is beyond the standard so-called personality cult. It is religious worship in every respect. They say "worship as god," and even "heavenly father." Now there is a heavenly quartet: the three men plus the grandmother of Kim Jong Un. The N. Koreans have stepped up their cultishness, even using a larger fond whenever one of those names is used.
