Why did Trump blow up @ the media? my 2 cents

The answer is easy. Trump was trying to change the subject from his phony fund raiser to
"help the vets." Trump held his fund raiser in Jan. but only cut some checks to veterans
organizations last week after he was exposed in the Washington Post and other media outlets
of not following through on his promise to "help the troops." All his bluster is a well staged
act to change the subject that he did not keep his word and @ the end of the day he is just
a con man.

Trump Gave to Vets on Day He Was Busted

Source: The Daily Beast

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump gave millions of dollars to veterans organizations only after The Washington Post published an exposé of his questionable claims on the matter. According to an Associated Press investigation, Trump sent checks to many of the groups on May 24, the same date as the Post story.

Trump previously came under fire for refusing to disclose which charities had allegedly received funds from him, but during a Tuesday press conference he named 41 vets organizations. One of the more prominent groups, the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, confirmed to the AP that it received its check on May 24, despite the campaign previously telling the Post that the scholarship fund's donation had already been distributed. The Daily Beast also reported Tuesday that while Trump has finally accounted for the $6 million promised contributions, the numbers show he fell $400,000 short of what he'd previously claimed to have raised.

subconsciously he may be trying to throw the election. The outrageous behavior has not changed, only become louder and more and more confident.

Perhaps he dimly (but surely) realizes such extravagant dodging, lying, threating with petulant tantrums and childish nastiness could never win the White House. So every time he gets closer, his behavious becomes more outrageous. Hasn't that been the case.

As he said, himself, yesterday. "This is what Trump Presidency will be like." Can anything be more frightening? Think not?

If his polls go up, just watch his rhetoric.

problems he still might win. I am sure Wall Street has a deal with him to throw the election in exchange for big favors down the line.

He makes the perfect Bogeyman, that's why he was given so much air time to defeat the Ted Cruz'es of the world and become popular without having to spend much. Hillary is the chosen candidate of TPTB, but she stinks on ice. She needs Trump to lose his mind right before election to have a chance to win.

I totally agree. I have been saying this all along.
Let's hit the reset button. Why did Trump call Bill, or Bill call Trump, to talk about Trump running for president? If Trump wanted to beat Hillary he wouldn't be calling Bill. The only reason that Bill would call Trump and encourage him to run would be for Trump to get the nomination and then take a dive.

Trump isn't stupid, why would he name call the judge who is presiding over his Trump U. law suit? Now the judge has released the sealed documents and the Trump U. scam is on the front pages today.

This election has been Kabuki theater, and it couldn't have been pulled off without the complicity of the M$M.
The M$M gave Trump millions of dollars worth of free TV air time, the M$M enabled Trump to become the nominee, now I see signs that they are turning on Trump. Yesterday, it was Hillary who got free air time by calling into cable news stations. This election has been staged from the beginning to get Hillary elected.

There is also a safety valve, Gary Johnson is running at 10% on the Libertarian ticket and he will certainly siphon votes away from Trump. Johnson needs to be at 15% to be allowed to debate, if Trump surges polls can be rigged to give Johnson that 15%.

Trump never wanted to be president, IMO.

we have seen increasingly over the last three decades, that republicans LEAN INTO the things they get busted on.

They NEVER take responsibility. They just push everything as far as they can because they have bullied and brow beat the media into submission, and on those rare occasions when the media actually calls them them out or reports what they do, the make themselves the victim - either partisan attacks or the evil liberal media.

For Trump is that on Steroids. He is a con man. He had absolutely no intention of ever making good on these "fund raisers." It was just standard operating procedure for him to make a splash, get the media and pocket the money.

He got called out on it, and instead of even trying to act innocent and say, "well, gee, were still collecting money" or whatever, he did what he does, go on rampage against the media.

It takes the attention away from his grift that got called out AND browbeats the media who despite all their bravado about how journalistic they are, will be further intimidated.

It is like a coach in sports who always is berating the referees. 99% of the time, they get into the refs head.

1% privilege. Or more precisely "asshole privilege". He is taking his innate sense of personal "I'm better than you cause I am me and you are not" and attempting to intimidate the rest of us into accepting his behaviors. What he could get away with in private business and personal life dealings, he now wants to inflict upon the the rest of us. Not gonna happen Orange man, not gonna happen.

He's attacking for the same reason the Bush Administration went on the attack and never stopped. Trump's only defense for his incompetence, double dealing, evasion and fraudulence is to "deny access" to those who dare to print uncomfortable truths about him. He's trying to "tame" the press.

To a large degree this has already worked because his exposure has been several steps ahead of the news cycle. But now his routine fraudulent behavior is beginning to close in on him: he took money for veterans and held onto the funds as long as possible to steal the interest, which is what he does with every payment he is supposed to make; details of his fake university are starting to emerge; by now the thousands of people in Florida and New Jersey who were ripped off by Trump's non-payment are beginning to emerge; next will be his project to bribe local governments in Florida to allow him to burn down the wetlands....

.... And it will never, ever end. This sort of crap is what Trump has done his whole life, what his father did his whole life: exerting the leverage of privilege to get more ahead.

Running for President is a seductive force to the narcissistic Trump, who will never again be satisfied without a press entourage following him. So I don't buy the idea that he's planning to throw the election. Now, he's running because his psyche demands the attention.

But the real Donald Trump, the lying, cheating, stealing, racist, manipulative, arrogant Donald Trump, must not be shown (yeah, we see it, but we're little people who don't count to him). That's the knife's edge he's trying to walk and, in light of the last ignorant narcissist who lied his way close enough to steal it, we know it's possible to do it and win.

It is my understanding is that Trump has to bring in his own out-of-state work crews to build in Florida because he's ripped off virtually every single contractor that he has ever dealt with there. He can't scrape up enough suckers to build a hotel in Florida, which is really saying something.

Go ahead and let him deny access. Either he will one by one deny half of the media and then the rest won't care. Or they will without collusion end up collectively saying "To hell with you" and dare him to deny them.

Trump has no money left for campaigning. Most of his assets are illiquid and he needs cash for business operations and projects before considering this flier on a wing and a prayer at the Presidency.

I disagree with the thesis up-thread that Trump is trying to lose. I think his thinking process was "What the hell, I can't lose. It'll boost my brand and hey I might win." Hence the bombast and churlishness, to get attention and tons of free media. However, now that it looks like he has won the nomination, he's facing a "what next" moment. Plus he is old and has always been arrogant: two major obstacles to changing his ways.

He doesn't have much of a plan.
