Accessory before the fact to Gorillacide - what's the right punishment ?

How about we stop wasting our time shaming mom and get down to pragmatics.

How should she actually be punished?

No more zoo privileges ? ( just in Cincinnati or throughout the US ?)
Kids taken away and put in foster care ?
Just her youngest taken away until he's old enough to know better ?
Lose her job at day care ?
Maybe some jail time ?
A fine?

What kind of punishment would allow you to feel that justice had been done?

Unfortunately, while I agree with your direction, that just doesn't seem to have sufficient closure for many so I thought I raise the question...what would allow closure?

Opinions are opinions. Freaking out and making federal cases out of them is goofy.

And my hope is that the local county prosecutor gets that and calls it what it is - a tragedy that will long effect everyone involved, but certainly not a crime.

He's landed on the right side of a lot of tough decisions lately so we'll see.
