Let me get this straight regarding Trump's veteran fundraising stunt.

Trump holds this "veteran fundraiser" in January. Supposedly, he raises $6 million from donors.

I want to be 100% accurate on the facts here, so stop me if I'm wrong.

The people donating in this "fundraiser" are donating not directly to any one particular veteran organization, but rather directly to Donald Trump, who says he'll distribute the money raised amongst various organizations of his own choosing.

Four months pass and nothing happens. No funds are every distributed in this time period.

Finally, in mid-May, someone in the media wonders exactly who got what money from Trump. Trump stalls, and says he'll release the information soon.

Trump finally releases the information, and it indicates most of the money was distributed to these organizations in.....mid May.

I'm sorry, but if all of this is in fact the case, how can anyone not assume that there was a intent to defraud donors by Trump and he had to scramble to CYA?

I suspect 3 full months' interest on $6million is more than just peanuts, but I have no idea what sort of interest someone like Trump collects.

He is careless, thoughtless and disorganized. In sum, he is actually horrible at taking care of business.

But he knows how to fire people and intimidate timid employees into taking care of business for him.

He pretends to have a lot of money. Maybe he does. How would I or anyone else really know?

He bluffs and he scares his staff who are dependent on him for their paychecks into taking care of his routine and for him utterly boring business.

That's my guess.

When it comes to giving away money (that he may or may not have because of his enormous debts and the cost of maintaining his properties, hobbies and women) apparently he didn't scare his staff sufficiently for them to bother with organizing his giving away the money he collected from donors to give to veterans. Thus, his staff didn't take care of that business.

Trump would make a horrible president. It could happen. But if he is elected, Congress, even a Republican Congress, will get sick of him and find some reason to impeach him.

The divorce from the White House will be difficult for that portion of the American people who like Trump, but if we are lucky, maybe America can get a good alimony settlement (assuming Trump really does have the money he claims to have).

Anyway, Trump is the sum total of what Bernie described at the Vatican as the worship of the material, of mammon, of the golden calf.

Tongue in cheek. Not very funny, but then . . . .

They didn't care when GW started his war to enrich his family and Cheney. They didn't care when the economy cratered because Bush cut taxes and started a war. They didn't care when the rich stole all the money from the economy and actually wanted to make it so they didn't have to pay anything back. They'll just say it's because taxes are too high and cut them again for the rich. They didn't care when so many children were killed at that school (ug, can't remember the name).

They also won't care if Trump bankrupts the country and will do nothing at all to get rid of him. Ha, Repugs actually caring about the public good, not going to happen with this current crop.

I think his bullshit excuse was that he had to vet the organizations to make sure he wasn't donating to another Wounded Warrior charity. Yet somehow magically these checks get sent out the same day WaPo writes an article about it. He's either very incompetent or had malicious intent. I think it's more the former, he's not used to being scrutinized. It was all a PR stunt to avoid the debate. His hubris is out of control. Now he looks like a fucking toddler complaining about the press. When in reality if it were not for the press these veteran groups probably would never receive that money.

Incidentally, his campaign claims they're running low on funds. Interesting news coming from a man that boasts of his billions and of self-funding his presidential run.
