http://www.kwch.com/content/news/Unprecedented-number-of-Democrat-candidates-vie-for-KS-Legislature-seats-381597171.htmlWICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) This year all seats in the Kansas Legislature are up for re-election and Kansas Democrats are vying for those seats more than ever.
"We were able to recruit 40 democrats to run in 40 Senate Districts," said Lee Kinch, Chairman of the Kansas Democratic Party. "Unprecedented for my life time in politics."
The Kansas Democratic Party said it has candidates running in 100% of Kansas Senate Districts and roughly 75% of Kansas House Districts.
"The political situation in this state, the mismanagement of the budget, the mismanagement of the economy has encouraged these candidates to come forward," said Kinch. "To campaign and give voters a choice. Voters need to inform themselves concerning the positions of the representatives in the House and the Senate."

(82,849 posts)Give voters a choice, but I disagree with Chairman Lee Kinch: Don't depend on the voters to inform themselves. Get the message out there from the Democratic perspective. Leaving it to voters means that you're really leaving it to the Republicans and their mouthpieces to inform the electorate.
Get. Out. The. Vote. Bring this state back from the brink.

(34,105 posts)some movement to freaking stand for something. Every Dem that has won anything or gotten anything done recently has been far more than, " I am not those guys." Conviction makes a difference and creates the difference people need to give a damn.
