Just when Republicans thought that it couldnt get worse, First Lady Michelle Obama spoke out against everything Donald Trump represents while addressing graduates at the CCNY commencement ceremony.
NOTE: The "good stuff" comes at 11:45 (it's all good but this is where she delivers her moral argument re who we are as a country)
The argument that Obama made against Trump was devastating because it wasnt political. The argument that the First Lady made was a moral argument about who we are as a country. The question that First Lady Obamas remarks asked the country is, does Donald Trump accurately represent who we are? If this election is contested on moral terms, Donald Trump has no chance of winning.
Trump and his angry Twitter account cant match the power and popularity of President and First Lady Obama. Michelle Obama is speaking out, and the Republican Partys bad week just got a whole lot worse.

It's pretty easy to dismantle the demagogue. Clearly, the entire Republican party and its apparatus were not equal to the task, which is how they got Donald Trump as their presidential nominee.
Democrats need to articulate their position, align it with the majority of Americans who believe in that position, and get about the business of cleaning this clown's clock come November.

but Michelle is extraordinary. I love this woman! I feel lucky to have been here while she graced America as our first lady.

More than anything else, graduates, that is the American story, she said. And, graduates, its the story that I witness every single day when I wake up in a house that was built by slaves, and I watch my daughters, two beautiful black young women, head off to school, waving goodbye to their father, the president of the United States; the son of a man from Kenya who came here to America for the same reasons as many of you: to get an education and improve his prospects in life.
Ours is an imperfect country but our greatness is in our aspirations to be better then we were.
