Next time you are talking with a creationist...

Show them this:

"For it was by the Will of God that men were made of a certain bodily shape, were given their natures and their faculties. Whoever destroys His work wages war against God’s Creation and God’s Will."

Know who this creationist is?

Adolf Hitler, in "Mein Kampf."

have you talked anyone out of being a vegetarian or owning a dog using similar logic? unblock Jun 2016 #1

Hitler was not a real vegetarian, he ate vegetables as a diet due to gastric problems.
His doctor told him by doing so, it would cure his stomach problems.
This was the same doctor that had Hitler wired on enough amphetamines to kill a moose, also.

And Hitler loved dogs, because dogs are obedient.
He hated cats.

many vegetarians are so because of health reasons.
and many dog-owners are so because dogs are obedient.

the point is, just because hitler did or believed or was xyz doesn't mean xyz is itself wrong or evil or anything in particular.

it's the logical fallacy of authority, or in this case, a negative authority.

frankly, we're going to need the hitler comparison for the fight against trump and his followers, where it does have legitimate validity, and this kind of logic trivializes something we need to be persuasive and not easily dismissed in november.

I don't know why as a progressive nation we still let all these Nazi Houses or worship exist.

Christians are nothing but Hitler followers.

To me the point being made here is that Hitler was a religious person. He believed in God. All too often, I hear from believers that atheists lack morals because of their non-belief. They always use Hitler as an example.

I mean, Hitler was:

Pro-life (anti-abortion)
Pro-Christian (His version, of course)
Pro-law and order
