I really can't believe the Rs are going to stick with Trump

Every day is a new set of offenses and a new disaster. What must they be thinking in the smoke-filled rooms at RNC Central?

Surely, they recognize the generational disaster they have on their hands in Trump. Better to deny him the nomination by any means possible, take any bad publicity that arises, run anybody else but Trump and prepare for a defeat that will at least not take the whole Party down with the candidate.

How can he possibly shift gears or walk back the hate and stupidity he has unleashed? The Ds certainly aren't interested in turning the page on Trump. They have enough ammunition against him to feed 8 campaigns.

It is surreal, is it not?

My post involved the fact that I (and others) don't trust that the Republicans will not do something "un-conventional".

Not sure why Hillary was brought into your reply, but since you did, she will do just fine against Donald.

Trump is being given enough rope to hang himself and will be offered an elegant out before the convention. I predict medical reasons. Then they can run a more moderate candidate they couldn't get through the primaries. Classic rope a dope!

for all their arrogant, dismissive attitude toward the evil liberal, they are long standing chumps.

That is why Trump ran as an R, he knew which party was ripe to be conned.

They will continue to blindly get in line, because that is what they have done at the very least during the entirety of my adult life (since the 80s).

They are brainless pods, who are weak minded enough, or mean spirited enough, to allow a party with the singular purpose of making the rich even richer, to take their vote in order to have a GRAND OLD PARTY of bigotry, racism and general hatred.

turnout, changing demographics, poor platform, a successful dem president, a poor and ridiculous R presidential slate, etc..

However...They can (and will) focus on State races now and on congress in two years and will manage to continue to do a lot of damage to democracy, progressive agendas, science, knowledge, education, environment, vote integrity, income/wealth inequality, civil rights, infrastructure funding, safety nets, etc..

In fact and as reported, a lost presidential cause just means more money to go to state and local elections.

Trump stays the GOP candidate.

He's such a horrible PERSON & candidate, and day by day he's turning into more of a horrible racist, woman-hating pig than he's already shown himself to be.

He has no vision, only filled with division and hatred for anybody other than while, rich males like himself.

Stay the course GOP. Your candidate is truly representing you as a party
