Will Trump really just take his ball and go home?

On MSNBC they were speculating that, perhaps, this is not what he wants, that being president may interfere with his business... Some were talking about how to vote him down in the convention, otherwise..

Won't surprise me. He'll say that he just wanted to show anyone that he could but, really, is not interested.

Something that would get him a lot of money and power by dropping out.

But the clock keeps ticking and he still seems to be going forward.

major in sociology I like to see how groups work.

Trump, well-known, major buffoon, extreme optics (orange et al) and rich. He makes a visceral connection with the ex-tea party wackos and some fairly moderate unenthusiastic Republicans. They fall in love. The Establishment is caught with their political pants down...he wins. The Bush Royalty is for the most part, ended.

Now for the Dems. Bernie...old warrior Senator, NE Vermont Independent anti-establishment, grandpa-like and suddenly the Democratic Party, to their horror, is watching him ascend almost magically while their perfect candidate is descending. Speaking of the Democratic Royalty...the Clintons.

My point is this...the people have stated very vociferously that they really are tired of Politics As Usual. It's "rigged", we all know it if we're honest. Two of the least likely standard bearers/messengers could hardly be imagined. One, Trump, has ousted the Republican Establishment, the other, Sanders, has panicked the Democratic Establishment.

I think the Republicans will be able to regain control, but will willingly lose the election in order to do so. The Democrats will likely win the election, but the Establishment candidate is a sorely wounded Royal Candidate and the "Revolution" will begin simultaneously. Likely the Republicans will file impeachment papers to begin the slide. This would be their only solace...to deny the Democrats their Royalty like they lost theirs and to finally stick it to Hillary. (The hatred still boggles my mind.)

But make no mistake, Bernie did not cause Hillary ANY of her vast string of problems...including the VRWC, which is likely very true.

So, I think that the wake up call is here...people are sick and tired of politics as usual. It will be fascinating how it plays out in the next 2-4 years.
