I didn't see the man threatening the cops with a rock.
It sure looks like the cops jumped in to the middle of a domestic dispute and inflamed the situation with guns. And then shot an unarmed man.

(5,417 posts)If he didn't there should be dozens of eyewitnesses (and perhaps better quality video) to prove otherwise.
Either way, lunging at a police officer is not recommended.
I think this case easily shows that the shooting was justified.

(3,585 posts)a bad result.
I would prefer that cops would have swarmed him and fought him, but they don't do that anymore.

(128 posts)The perp clearly didn't follow instructions, multiple times. If I was that guy, I'd expect to get shot, and probably a lot sooner than it happened.

(5,325 posts).......to the other several times. He was obviously violent and by all indications he seemed bent on going inside the terminal where he could have threatened countless other people. And as others have said, there were dozens of other people around who can testify as to what was going on.
This one looks pretty well justified to me.

(26,311 posts)It appeared he threw his last rock before going around the car. And then he used both his hands to pull his pants up.
I see the right hand appears cupped. But the left does seem cupped also at the same time.
Yeah, maybe he did have a rock.
Why does surveillance video suck so bad? The Google earth view of my roof deck is better than this video.

(35,274 posts)Cost-limited tech? Limited storage so high compression? Or just reduction in quality prior to recording?
Lots of reasons. Google Earth uses some pretty high-tech satellite feeds. Even then, they're fuzzed up a bit before Google gets a hold of them, so they're higher res than you see on screen. You can buy some nifty stuff with about half of the US discretionary budget.
