If a person makes a racist comment, that DOES make them a racist. The person made the comment

of their own free will and not under duress. It was their choice. If they do not believe the comment to be racist, they are still a racist. If that person were to make the comment and then come to understand the comment is racist and acknowledge and apologize, then I would accept the apology, but that would not change the fact that the comment and person is a racist.

1. Yeah, trying to explain to cons that Trump is racist because he has made provable racist remarks

is a waste of time - I have learned this lesson. THEY are racist, so it is impossible to see that. That is why cons are always asking what they do that makes them racist, you tell them and then they look at you like a deer in headlights.

I've learned trying to explain racism to a racist is impossible. They have to understand themselves first.

But since last year it's been nothing but "Mexicans, Muslims, Losers, Dogs, Pigs, African American , Pocahontas, Chokers, Stupid People, Liars and lots more.Sometimes all of the above in one speech.

Me thinks he's a racist. Not in the vein of the KKK but more like a low IQ Archie Bunker.

My apologies to Archie Bunker.

2. If the DNC is smart, they'll use Ryan's own words against the whole GOP in the general election

Ryan said Trump's words were "the definition of racist," yet he still says he'll vote for that person.

Run that over and over in ads and take back Congress

as if it's perfectly normal and nothing to hide anymore. At this rate It will likely influence policy and legislation. Any detractors would be called names for being too "politically correct" and needing "trigger warnings" and "safe spaces" because we're so "soft".

Romney even called it "trickle down racism".

7. But some racists do know better.

I remember reading that Harry Truman was a bit of one, but he knew that it was time to integrate the armed forces and he just did it.

So was LBJ, and he signed sweeping civil rights legislation.

They both put their personal dogma aside and did what was right.

Trumpf does not know better and will not put his dogma aside to do what is right.

8. And if the receiver of the racism stands by and doesn't condemn the racism, then

he/she is complicit. He/she IS therefore condoning the racism, and in my mind that is not different from being a racist at all. If you stand by and allow the injustice, the you are part of the problem.
