MSNBC: Republican Rep. Devin Nunes on Orlando shooting "looks like radical Islam".

This is a horrific event but unfortunately this is where is this is heading politically and it will help Trump. Ugh.

1. +1, even thought there's been no evidence that this was motivated by Islam.

3. Yep.. he is clearly jumping to the conclusion he prefers.

Even if he is correct its way too early to make that call.

2. No. Looks like American gun laws.

Hate is everywhere. Mass slaughter by assault weapon is pretty uniquely American, save isolated events in other countries.

5. Gun laws and gun culture.

Too many see guns as the "answer" to their issues.

6. What's your source for that?

I'm far from sure you're wrong, but I'm suspicious - this list of homicide rates by country https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate suggests that if America is the only country with an automatic weapon problem then a lot of other countries must have a lot more murders committed by other means, and that singling out one may be a red herring.

4. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

It occurs to me belatedly that all that all those points about Trump acting as a recruiting agent for ISIS apply just as well in the opposite direction.

7. Must be radical Islam..

Unlike the last 350 or so mass shootings which were all the unpreventable acts of lone crazy people. Ok...

8. I agree with his assessment 100%.

Other than that I'll call it Islamist extremism.

And I hope that Democrats don't try to ignore that ideological motivation as the facts come out.
