Me and the three people who recommended the thread. Though how many people would vote for it is the more important issue.

But thanks for kicking the thread.

Speaking as someone that has been actively working for over 35 years too loosen some existing laws,
what you want just isn't going to happen.

Not in my lifetime anyways.

supposedly one of the more gun-liberal states.
The first 3 lines were already law not too long ago.
Add to that list, no drinking or drugs. Already law.

I don't know what a revolving rifle is, but the magazine can be internal as are many 22s.
If you mean semi-auto, shotguns can qualify, as well as pistols.

None of that will have any effect upon someone shooting.
Pumps are as fast as semi. Revolvers can hold 7 and be quicker than semi.

It's all relative to what you know and are used to.

Oh, and a shotgun is as accurate as any rifle at< 200yds.

Single shots only maybe?

IQ test(or something like it)?
Maybe training and evaluation upon purchase? IDK, really.

You wanna limit removable magazines on semi-autos? I'll listen. But revolvers? No.

No person not wanting to own a firearm should ever be forced to have one or purchase one.

wait time we have for handguns
background checks we have NICS
gun transportation is already handled by each states laws, most states require firearms in vehicles be unloaded and gun and ammunition in seperate places. Some require guns be in a lockbox.
What the spitbucket is a revolving rifle ? Other than the old gatling gun or the 24in barreled revolver colt made in the old days. I certainly would never ever own either.

So, strict gun control is here. The last item with 300 million guns already in private hands will never happen.

the NFA, GCA '68, Hughes Amendment within FOPA, and the Brady Act.

If we can't repeal it, I say defund it and find other ways to weaken it.

Gun rights are civil rights.

We have very sensible laws around cars and drivers which kill.
We could have the same laws around guns and their owners.

Problems being s vast majority of guns and their owners don't see themselves as the problem.

18. The problem with severe restrictions like that...
Sun Jun 12, 2016, 06:59 PM

...is a combination of extant supply and lack of voluntary compliance. There are literally tens of millions of semi-automatic, magazine fed firearms in Civilian possession in the US. Only a very, very small percentage of the owners of those weapons will be interested in voluntarily surrendering them. That means enforced compliance...confiscation. And there is no agency capable of carrying out confiscation that would actually comply with orders to do so.

But the long game is to repeal the 2nd Amendment so the gun FUCKERS will no longer have that to stand on.

Failing that, maybe a 10,000% tax on ammunition and components of it. After all, the 2nd Amendment says nothing about the right to ammunition.

Seriously, all gun nuts can go fuck themselves. They are a disgrace to humanity and civilization.

The NICS (the system used for firearms background checks) should have access to information like domestic-abuse indictments and court orders, certain mental health diagnoses, and other information that the database doesn't contain at present. This would require changing some laws as to who is and is not legally permitted to receive a firearm, which I also support. FWIW, I'm a gun owner and competition shooter.
