The nexus of hate and guns will be discussed . . . . .

. . . . for a few days and we will be back to where we were. No change. No relenting. No movement at all.

Hate is incredibly abundant.

Guns are incredibly abundant.

Today's shooter got his guns legally. He was, in fact, cleared to do security work.

Today's incredible massacre will soon be "just another act of violence" in the same way the kids at Newtown are remembered - once a year on the anniversary of the massacre there. To be sure, many of us think about these events often. But they never seem to make it to the national dialogue.

In Washington, fear of the NRA paralyzes lawmakers.

The media avoids the issue because . . . . . why, really? No gun ads on the tv. NRA sponsors nothing. So why?

But back to my point.

This will soon enough fade to ordinary. And therein lines the REAL tragedy. All those people. Dead. For what?

FOR WHAT, fer krissakes.
