(19,558 posts)The person was born here in 1986!
He has nothing to say that's actually relevant to the real issues here. Oh, sure, he'll blather on and feed the hate on the Right, but when all is said and done he has zero to contribute to the real dialogue of how we fix the issue.
I guess that's been good enough for the GOP base for most of my adult life, so it'll be good enough again now more than likely.
We really are so messed up as a nation in many ways.

He then immediately pivoted to calling for President Obama's resignation and Hillary Clinton's exit from the 2016 race, saying his refusal to say the phrase "radical Islam" was "disgraceful."
"In his remarks today, President Obama disgracefully refused to even say the words 'Radical Islam.' For that reason alone, he should step down," Trump said in the statement. "If Hillary Clinton, after this attack, still cannot say the two words 'Radical Islam,' she should get out of this race for the Presidency."

(17,199 posts)I wish Hillary, Bernie, together or separately, would follow shortly after Trump delivers his "address to the nation" and call him out on his racism, on whatever bullshit he spews, and on his being unfit to be commander-in-chief!
This is the guy who said Islam hates us, that Muslims should be registered in a database, that there should be a ban on all Muslims from entering the country. He talks about using nuclear weapons to defeat ISIS (which would kill millions of civilians).
He must be called out on all of it tomorrow!

(268,844 posts)There will be a response - they are focusing on this. Obama and Hillary have cancelled their rally in Wisconsin on Tuesday.

(17,199 posts)He'll give his "address to the nation." And then the media will play clips of it all day.
I really want to hear it reported tonight that Secretary Clinton, Senator Sanders, and others will give their own LEVEL-HEADED address to the nation, one that assures the nation without pandering to racism and fear. And that challenges the garbage that Trump will have spewed.
I am so sick of Trump exploiting tragedy and playing on people's fears.

Expect a dozen flags behind him. And police and veterans at his side, clapping.
"Obama is weak. He failed to protect us again." Clap, clap, clap.
"Crooked Hillary cannot keep us safe." clap, clap, clap
"I will keep America safe. ISIS will be destroyed. Quickly. Believe me." clap, clap, clap

(3,072 posts)Having a campaign event about a mass shooting only a day after it happens and a day after giving himself high fives on twitter? And based on his extremely tone deaf and off the wall history, bad bad bad bad idea. If anyone in that campaign has any sense, at all, they will lock him in a room with a pile of trump steaks and some Playboys from the 80's for at least a week. The blow back is not going to be pretty. If you didn't think his campaign had one foot in the grave already, you soon will.
If you plan on watching this garbage, have a stiff drink near by because you might be tempted to attack your tv out of pure rage.
