Mother Jones: "Here's What the NRA Has to Say About the Orlando Shooting"

P.R. LOCKHARTJUN. 13, 2016 11:02 AM

Nothing.

The National Rifle Association's Twitter account has been silent since last Friday, when it tweeted 11 times. The organization has yet to release a statement about Sunday morning's Orlando shooting spree that killed 50 people and injured 53 in the deadliest mass shooting in US history.

Although the NRA has yet to issue any statement, others are taking the organization to task for its silence. The New York Daily News kept things short and sweet on Monday's front page.

The NRA is speechless because what are they gonna say...get rid of the gun show loophole or ban assault weapons of war. They want to sell guns and ammo to everybody everyday and then swear they aren't responsible for what the buyer does with it. So why do we lock up heroin dealers...they aren't responsible for what etc.... or RPGs that takes down planes...they would not be responsible if buyer used it for that purpose. Glad to see Clinton is calling for a ban on assault weapons'
This a-hole coward psychopath shooting non violent unarmed people...why, WHY are such sick people allowed to buy weapons of war? The NRA lobby.

For men who feel inadequate...not man enough.

30,000 people killed with guns every year. Wonder how much of it is due to self protection.

And the manufacturer's of his 'tools.'

Everyone involved with getting these efficient products into the hands of this American should pat themselves on the back.

'Got the job done.'

That does not, of course, mean that they couldn't issue a statement. There are myriad other ways to address the topic other than Twitter. This apparently wasn't enough of an event for them to bother to do so.

It also doesn't explain why they haven't issued something this morning. Presumably, social media guy is back to work.

THIS is the time for fund raising. They will politicize it and re-write history later.

that the shooter had a CC license

that a policeman or off-duty policeman/security engaged the shooter early on

then the good guy with a gun argument is out the door on this one

the shooter was in the eyes of the law a good guy with a gun in the sense of
being licensed to carry and obtaining his weapons legally

the security was also a good guy with a gun

yet we have the worst outcome ever

you might not hear much from them
