2. So many thoughts in that paragraph

First, the al Qaeda terror manual targets all of the weaknesses of our free society and directs their agents to exploit them in pursuit of their terror campaigns.

Second, assault weapons, ugh. Forget the nomenclature for the guns, their easy availability makes their use by terrorists inevitable.

Third, law enforcement professionals don't want these weapons available on the open market. Some bad guys will still get them, but not all would be able to. I wish there was some acknowledgment of the LEO's experienced-based opinions and expertise in the development of reasonable policies.

Fourth, George Bush, double ugh.

Fourth and one-half, imagine what our country might have been like had John Kerry been elected president.
