What do these horrific shootings have in common? The AR-15.

This assault weapon was used to murder at least 50 people in Orlando, 26 people in Sandy Hook, 12 people in Aurora, and 14 people in San Bernardino.

Right now, such a mass-killing weapon is available for purchase on-line, at trade shows, and at gun brokers across our nation. It has become the weapon of choice for mass shooters.

The AR-15 and all semi-automatic assault weapons like it have no place in our cities and towns. No place on our streets.

We need to ban all assault weapons now, while moving quickly to enact commonsense gun reform.

16. It needs to be a TOTAL ban....

No more of this game of claiming it doesn't qualify as an "assault weapon" because it has a grip that's .004" inside of the specific tolerance mentioned in the law.

By the way, the shooter called 911 and pledged a allegiance to ISIS before he started killing people. He was following ISIS protocol.
