In the past things have happened after a lot of people have died, but it really does take a lot and lately, since everyone is so acclimated to violence in film, music, news, and games, I think it will take a whole lot more deaths before anything is done about this.


I can look at real photos of horrific things done to humans that before I could not tolerate looking at. I'm inured to it now. The pro-gun side is fully convinced the other side wants to ultimately ban all guns. They feel the government will first ban assault rifles. Then the next debate will be banning handguns. Then the next debate will be shotguns. In other words, they don't believe the government will stop.

So the pro-gun side aren't going to budge an inch.

And of course the other side does nothing to eliminate those fears. You got progressives on this very form calling for all guns to be banned and to put in place gun control laws like what Australia has. So we are at a political deadlock. No one wants to compromise. No one trusts anyone.
