Oakland, CA – Officers on horseback were busy dispersing crowds at a rowdy celebration of the Penguins Stanley Cup win when a 20-year-old man in a marijuana costume started interfering. Tristan Hardinger used his long-board as a weapon and tried to scare the horses. “[He] repeatedly pushed the skateboard toward the horses’ faces, acting as if he were going to strike them,” Detective Edward Fallert wrote in the criminal charges. He continued his odd, dangerous behavior for several blocks.

After numerous warnings to cease, officers arrested Hardinger. He is being charged with taunting or harming police animals, a felony, and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Hardinger was extremely intoxicated, and based upon his clothing, no doubt high, when he was arrested and booked into jail.

celebration for the Penguins? (Maybe, but now that I click the link I see it's not actually Oakland, CA, but rather some imposter city from PA. Which makes more sense.)
