Is Trump Far More Exhausting Than Previous Republican Nominees?

It seems like 15 times a day we have another scandal involving Trump. Just trying to keep up with the seemingly endless disasters from his campaign is extremely exhausting. When I look at this non-stop shit show that is Donald Trump, it feels like nothing I have ever seen before. But that can't be right, can it? I have been paying attention to presidential elections since 2000 but I just don't remember there ever being a constant stream of insanity occurring when Bush, McCain, or Romney were the nominees. I remember them being bad and incompetent. I remember moments, like Romney wearing brownface during a Univision interview or Palin not being able to name a single newspaper. But I don't remember 20 times a day finding yet another article about something crazy that McCain's campaign had said or done.

Is my memory working correctly? Is Trump really 1000x more off the wall and dysfunctional that his most recent predecessors or am I just spending too much time playing on the internet?

4. Many in the party have repudiated him...

...its much more important to see if they tell him to get the fuck out. Quite a few sitting GOP senators and governors have flat out refused to endorse or vote for him, which is unprecedented. Actually overthrowing their presumptive nominee that is what we need to see because the repudiation isn't slowing him down. If they don't actually step in and remove him, he is going to crash them straight into the iceberg.

Trump seems to say things on purpose sometimes that are controversial, or just plain crazy, and the news media then reports on it, because Trump is good for ratings.

He also tweets stuff all the time, and then the media runs with his tweets too.

It would be nice to have a week or so where Trump shuts up, and the media stops reporting about his every word 24/7.

Several times. But it was nothing like this. Trump makes Romney look statesmanlike.
