"High dungeon" ???

In the Senate: Ted Cruz just now accused Democrats of going “high dungeon” (sic) and engaging in political theater with their filibuster.

I'm laughing so hard that I missed whether or not he berated Dems for failing to read Dr. Seuss...

It's somehow fitting that he made that stupid error while in the midst of pimping for the pro-gun forces. Cruz makes me want to puke.

It was actually Little Carmine.

You beat me to it! I just heard it on MSNBC or CNN a little while ago, and about fell out of my chair. Maybe, being a person not born in America, he doesn't really get the language?

For a supposedly educated person, Cruz has no idea what "dudgeon" (which is almost always used together with "high&quot means. He can join the long list of pols and newscasters who slaughter words and phrases with mispronunciations such as "pundants," "heighth," "eckcetera," "higharchy," "a mute point," "nucular (now a classic thanks to Dubbya)," "verbage," "Klu Klux Klan," "expecially," and so on.

Then again, his misanthropic ideas and behavior toward most people should be no surprise in how poorly he uses the English language.

But many people won't except your assertion, and this has the affect of weakening the language.
