If a certain gun was intended to be sold to civilians when it was invented, is that ok? anoNY42 Jun 2016 #3

I purchased one in 1972 for $175, kept it for a couple of Years then sold it to a former Marine friend. Civilians don't need to own it. Back then, the AR-15 wasn't very common. The State Crime Bureau used to borrow mine for testing.

Thus sayeth the most anachronistic amendment. Thus it is written; thus it shall ever be.

Just remember:
1. the definition of Arms is fluid - does include all modern Firearms, but does not include Automatic Firearms, RPGs and the like.
2. the definition of Militia is fluid - and besides, it's not even a requirement to bear arms, it's just the reason that right can't be infringed.
3. the definition of Well-Regulated is fixed. it means what it meant when it was written.
