The York Technical College (Chester SC) "dangerous situation" lockdown lifted (false alarm)

CHESTER, S.C. -- The York Technical College in Chester was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon due to a reported "dangerous situation" on campus.

The school tweeted there was a dangerous situation on campus in the 4 o'clock hour Wednesday afternoon. By 5:45, The Chester County Sheriff's Office said they were called to a reported armed robbery near the campus, but it turned out to be a false call.

The lockdown at York Tech-Chester has since been lifted.
