Hillary looking at Youngstown Rep Tim Ryan for VP

Last edited Fri Jun 17, 2016, 11:05 AM - Edit history (1)

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Is there another Ohioan on Hillary Clinton's short list for vice president?

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of the Youngstown area is among those under consideration, according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, which cites "several" unidentified Democrats.

Ryan's name often is linked to higher office. He has been seen as a future governor or senator for years. But this VP speculation is a first for the seven-term congressman.

That HRC, whose strongest and earliest supporters included Planned Parenthood and NARAL, is going to end up with an anti-choice veep.

...past statements by Hill have no reflection on future words or deeds. Anything is a possibility. As far as PP goes, that organization robbed millions of women of the chance to vote on a candidate before a corporation picked one for them. Think about it. Neither Hill nor PP want single payer. That would put one of them out of business and the other out of a pocket full of cash. Pity the women who vote for her 'because she is a woman'!

It most certainly would not put Planned Parenthood out of business; it would just make the government responsible for covering the expenses of medical care provided by Planned Parenthood (which it already does to some extent). What are you imagining -- that single-payer would mean the establishment of nationwide federal government medical clinics located in post offices or something?

Still, thanks for mansplaining why women who voted for Hillary based on her strong and outspoken record on reproductive rights were wrong to do so; I'm sure they appreciate you setting them straight.
