Trump’s Poll Ratings Are Historically Bad

Politico: “Trump is setting modern records for political toxicity — at least for a major-party candidate this far out from an election. Seventy percent of Americans surveyed in an ABC News/Washington Post poll out this week had an unfavorable opinion of Trump, up 10 points over the past month. The poll showed Trump’s favorable rating cratering at 29 percent, down from 37 percent last month.”

“The numbers were similar in a Bloomberg Politics poll: Trump’s favorable rating is just 31 percent, with 66 percent viewing him unfavorably. That’s only marginally better than in March, when 29 percent viewed Trump favorably, and 68 percent had an unfavorable opinion.”

“But it’s not just the overall unfavorable numbers — it’s the intensity of the antipathy toward Trump, and the lack of enthusiasm for him.”

The Hill: “GOP insiders fear that Trump, whose yearlong run for the presidency has been fueled by sheer force of personality, has not grasped the depth of the challenges he now faces.”

----------

“I think the tailspin could be really bad — historic proportions bad. I think it’ll be a historically bad loss. I’ve said that from the very beginning.”

— Former White House press secretary Tony Fratto, quoted by The Hill, on the impact of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign on the Republican party.

At least I hope so. Not that I would EVER represent Trump, but I would really hate to be his attorneys on that case!

His utter lack of self-awareness will set him up for the biggest loss of his life. His campaign, if he stays in the race, will crater spectacularly and I hope we get a wonderful show to watch.

Anyway, all that really matters is that Democrats win all their races!

they all seem to have it in spades. He just showcases a lot of how they look at things, if not how they actually feel. I think those that secretly agree with his positions re POC but declined to display them publicly are starting to get cold feet. Perhaps they are starting to realize that most people don't think like they do. In fact, most people have been acting "politically correct" toward RW assholiness by not pointing it out as strongly as they should. It's the old, "Well he's a racist but it's impolite to confront him on it" line.

Let's hope it helps all of our Democratic candidates!

Donald Trump is so ensconced in his egocentrism that reality doesn't enter his consciousness. This barrier will make his defeat so unexpected to him that his head will roll off his shoulders and explode, hopefully on live TV. Just imagine his concession speech on election night!
