Hasan Minhaj Blasts Congress For Their Inaction On Guns
This comedian ripped into Congress for its lack of action on gun control

You make almost $200.000 a year to write rules to make our society better....Not tweet. not tell us about your thoughts and prayers.

TO MAKE OUR SOCIETY BETTER

....Since 1998 the NRA has given you $ 3.7 million dollars to Congress......If we raised $4 million dollars would, you guys take that to save lives?

You have to watch this. Congress sure did not like what Minhaj was sayings. His last few words were heartbreaking.

Jon Stewart and Colbert told truth to power much better than journalists reporting.

Greed dumbs things down. Congress critters don't even get paid $200,000 to write bills. They get wined and dined by the likes of ALEC and Koch and push bills written by their contributers.

The hardened looks on their faces just illustrates the more you are bought, the less soul and common decency you have.

Lawrence O'Donnell spoke ironically earlier this week about the "thoughts and prayers" response by the House whenever there's a mass shooting.

It's utterly meaningless!!

Thanks again for posting the link.

No holds barred. very much following in the steps of the likes of Kenny Bruce, Sid Caesar and George carlin. Well worth your time to listen. And the last five minutes was spot on. Even if his audience won't do jackshit.

Also, read Timothy Egan in the NYT. Brilliant column.

My guess is that the $3.7 million may be the amount given directly to members of Congress. They spend much, much more on other lobbying, I suspect.

You can replace your congress representatives every 2 years. Your President every 4 years. Your Senators every 6 years.

Stop rehiring people who steal, cheat, lie, and refuse to do the job.
