So I'm screaming at the radio this morning. They've got Paul Ryan explaining why he shut down the House early while the democrats were having their sit in. He explained that the democrats were just conducting a "publicity stunt".
So I'm screaming "As oppose to the 50+ time you tried to overturn Obamacare?"
Look, 100+ people get shot THIS TIME and the democrats conduct a publicity stunt ONCE.
The GOP sees poor people getting health insurance and they do 50+ publicity stunts, not to mention Cruz and his "filibusters".
Give me a livin' break.
And yeah, I know, none of this is constructive criticism and it is a broad brush characterization of a large group of people.
So send me to the jury.

Believe me, if your broad brush is aimed only at the GOP (and it is, and justifiably so) I think you are in no danger from a jury.

(37,748 posts)It's a publicity stunt only to the short-sighted and the hack whose biases prevent them from seeing the beginnings of a national dialog... a dialog long prevented and denied by the dogmatic hacks in the NRA and GOP, as a benefit. Unless they are provided with measurable, short-term advantages, they are forced to see it a publicity stunt.
