Some fun news for a change: "Kill the Gays" pastor throws tantrum after being kicked off PayPal...

Warning, his pulpit-stomping temper tantrum is hateful, and NSFL, but also hilarious!

‘Kill the gays’ pastor has a pulpit-stomping meltdown after he’s booted from online fundraising

An Arizona pastor known for his virulently anti-LGBT views went on a podium-stomping tirade recently after businesses began cutting off their services to his and other bigoted pastors’ churches, the Friendly Atheist reports.

Pastor Steven Anderson, who heads the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona, lashed out this week at activists who successfully petitioned businesses like PayPal and Apple to shut down his accounts after his hate speech. While Anderson posted his June 22 sermon on a website called Archive, the Friendly Atheist uploaded a sampling to YouTube.

After the June 12 massacre at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Anderson posted a video in which he said there are “50 less pedophiles” in the world. Forty-nine people were killed in the mass shooting at the gay nightclub.

Anderson has been reaping the consequences of his words, and he is not happy about it.

“It’s war. You know what the filthy sodomites have done toward our church and us, and our friends and our fellow pastors that actually have the guts to say what needs to be said? Here’s what they’ve done in the last few weeks,” he told his congregation. “They got our PayPal account shut down so that we can’t take anymore online donations. We set up with another company, GivLet, they got that shut down. Qgiv, they got that shut down. BitPay, they got that shut down. They shut down our iTunes podcast. They shut down Brother Jimenez’s PayPal account. They shut down Brother Romero’s PayPal account… The landlord of Pastor Jimenez is saying, ‘hey we’re not going to renew your lease.'”

Church is for being nourished with God's love for us and one another. Hate has no place in church.

his right to treat people like shit and make money off of it. Hopefully it continues until these huckster hate-mongering pseudo-christians are put out of business.

Seriously? When I was a young gay man, my gay friends and I would sometimes refer to our female friends who liked gay men as 'fag hags' - and frankly, so would they - it was not a term of derision, but simply gay vernacular. It rhymed, and it was kind of like mocking cheerleaders, to use a term like that.

But it's language you'd NEVER use in mixed company, and never EVER would you hear a straight man say that.

Way too obvious, even without the multiple studies showing that homophobia and galvanic skin response to homoerotic pornography have a direct inverse relationship.

Countdown to this fellow being caught molesting someone. It's just going to happen, sadly.

2 Cor 6:14: "Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

Of course, reasonable people can disagree about who might be righteous and who might be lawless between Pastor Anderson and most of the rest of the world.

"Homophobic men are secretly gay themselves."

I can't wait for that one to die, but I don't think it ever will. Heterosexism is too popular.

that has taken place on far too many threads about that is so barf-worthy, I don't even know what to say, BtA.

I have been so enraged by things I've read in the past week -on DU of all f-ing places- that it is nearly a soul drain.

Thank heavens for you, and other members of the community that are strong, and point out absolute bullshit. It isn't me I'm worried about - it is those that are new and fragile to the community that scares me that they will be exposed to such bigoted nonsense. I do the best I can, and it probably isn't nearly enough.

Thank you for all that you do.

at least to "brainwashed idiots."

That clip is many things, but it's not funny.

Pathetic.
Horrifying.
Nauseating.
Dangerous.

And somehow, the smartass inside me wants to start sending him letters and emails and tweets talking about the LGBT community.

... so I can drown it in the toilet. I've lost beloved family members to the Church of Hate and Malice, and I have ZERO patience with horse shit from the likes of Anderson, Swanson, et al. They are evil down to their DNA. And it is impossible to reason with these psychopaths, so I don't even try anymore.
