1. would think so...the complaint about the eu was the eu overuled the national governements

that also is the fear with tpp

the gop would have to switch from being pro tpp to anti tpp but flip flops are standard for them

nafta will come back to haunt hrc because of this

it does have labor and environmental standards linked to trade like the EU (though not as strong as the EU enforces).

And both do supersede national sovereignty to some extent. The EU raises standards above what many national governments might otherwise provide (certainly in the case of the U.K.). The question is to what extent TPP would do the same.
