The German talk of an "associated partner country" could be a deal like Norway and Switzerland get; which is access to the EU single market in return for free movement of labour. The latter is what the Brexit is about preventing. So there's no idea if that would be what Brexiteers want anyway.

I tell you, UK'ers. This result is going to get you out of the worst of the EU's problems, but you will get very good trade deals.

I see the UK becoming like Switzerland.

Germany is going want the UK inside the tent pissing out, rather than outside the tent pissing in.

No doubt a Conservative government will pursue trade deals WITHOUT the labor and environmental standards that came with EU trade rules.

President Barack Obama stands by his comment that Britain would move to the back of the queue when it comes to trade deals with the United States if it left the European Union, the White House said on Friday.

"Obviously, the president stands by what he said and I don't have an update of our position," White House spokesman Eric Schultz told reporters at a briefing.
