Trump's first fundraising email had 60 percent spam rate
By Paulina Firozi

Donald Trump’s first small-dollar fundraising may have raised $3.3 million dollars, but it also had a significantly high spam rate.

The site Ad Age reported that email-tracking firm Return Path showed that 60 percent of those emails from the Trump campaign this week went straight to supporters' spam folders. Of those users that did receive the email in their inbox, only 12 percent opened it and 6 percent deleted it without opening it.

This was a marked increase in spam rate for emails from the Trump campaign, which Ad Age noted had been at only 7.9 percent in May. Return Path also added that even this nearly 8 percent rate is “considered very high by industry standards.”

Still, Trump’s campaign said the fundraising missive broke a record.

that AdAge is collecting metadata on email accounts. I guess it's only outrageous when the Gov. does it.
