I don't know how to post videos, but I hope there are some who DO, and who will want to contribute to a tribute.

(8,203 posts)I have always teased my husband of thirty years - even today, I wait for him to dip his eye in a mirror, any mirror - and break out into song for him...he just laughs....I catch him everytime...too funny!

(62,406 posts)I could listen to it over and over and over:
(partial lyrics)
My friends from college they're all married now;
They have their houses and their lawns.
They have their silent noons,
Tearful nights, angry dawns.
Their children hate them for the things they're not;
They hate themselves for what they are-
And yet they drink, they laugh,
Close the wound, hide the scar.

(48,955 posts)Have long felt that there was a thread of influence (per style) from Carole King (paving the way as a female song writer/singer) to Carly Simon and Rickie Lee Jones - then to Suzanne Vega. Just an impression. Each had an indelible impact on the pop music of the time, and on opening doors for themselves - and those who followed.
