http://www.wsbtv.com/news/trending-now/he-looked-ashamed-hungry-and-broken-how-a-teen-desperate-for-food-ended-up-with-a-house-1/362313516A story in Memphis, Tennessee, is receiving national attention after a musician and an underprivileged teen met in the most unexpected way.
Chauncy Black, 16, walked up to a complete stranger in a Kroger parking lot. That man was Matthew Michael White.
Something told me to go there and ask this guy if I can take his groceries to the car, Chauncy told WHBQ.
In exchange, he asked if Matt would buy him donuts for dinner. The good Samaritan felt compelled to take the teen on a shopping spree, and thats when they began to bond.

(14,449 posts)Property taxes can be higher then rent in some areas. Also a replacement water heater can cost a bit for sure. And replace a roof? Yieks. Cost of a car. Bottom line I hope they get a couple hundred thousand over the cost of the home.

(1,151 posts)That is shameful.what the hell is going on in these red stars who allow poor children to suffer ? Don't they know that they will not have a chance to live the American dream ?
The federal government needs to step in and rescue these children. This same kind of crap is going on in Alabama and Louisiana and all they are doing is breeding future inmates .I worked in the schools and I know they are conditioning certain students for incarceration. They lock them up for 90 days all the time.kids are very adaptable to their environment. These ones they are teaching to live in captivity. That's what they are doing . You see, rather than address the cause of their poverty , they prefer the product of the broken culture and abject hopelessness. The poor man pays many fees and fines and hidden charges and lives in a cycle of poverty. And children are innocent of even that. Children have no chance ,they don't know what to do.
You are telling me that half the children in the city of Memphis suffer from poverty ? In 2016 ? Why aren't e fighting a war on poverty ?

Because if God was a mover in this situation, he could not have done it without a man (or woman) like Matthew Michael White. He has a wonderful heart.
