"Politicians in London should have the possibility to reconsider the consequences of an exit," the RND newspaper network on Sunday quoted Merkel's chief of staff, Peter Altmaier, as saying.

(5,737 posts)1. Not a bad idea. The reality of what happened is starting to sink in to many in the UK.
The UK will be able to sell its goods and products to other countries still in the EU, because the UK currency will make their products more affordable. But when residents of the UK buy something from a country still in the EU, they will pay more. Inflation will be rampant.

David Cameron has not left this decision up to politicians in London.
He was extremely arrogant and now his country is paying the price.
And this is only the start of their problems. Next up, Boris Johnson as party leader.

The EU should back off and shut up until a formal invocation of Article 50.
