http://occupydemocrats.com/2016/06/28/27222/Donald Trumps campaign is in dire straits, financially speaking. His latest FEC filing reported that he only had a meager $1.3 million in his war chest, and online analytics agencies quickly found that his immediate declaration that he had raised $3 million with his first ever donation email was just another one of Trumps many lies. Now it appears that he and his family are asking anyone they possibly can for some spare change but they arent being warmly received.
Donald Trump Jr, the eldest of Trumps self-entitled brood, apparently barraged a number of Scottish politicians with requests for money to make America great again, the vast majority of which were sent straight to the spam folder but one MP, Natalie McGarry of Glasgow East, couldnt let it go unanswered and her response hits it right out of the park.

(7,233 posts)Scottish people (Welsh, for that matter) don't appreciate being called "English". British might be OK for many, but not English.
Anyway, here's her letter if anyone can't click through for any reason:

(23,156 posts)that the kid does not know that it's ILLEGAL for foreign nationals to donate to an American presidential campaign.
It would be mildly hilarious if Trump were to run totally out of money by the Republican convention.

It is, of course, extremely illegal for foreign nationals to donate to election campaigns. Given Trumps ignorance of the law in general and his campaigns now notorious inefficiency and incompetence, we can assume that the Trump camp simply bought lots of email lists and began spamming them with desperate requests for money, not knowing that some of them led to Scottish members of Parliament.

(8,914 posts)I thought it was illegal for foreign entities (person or corporation), to
donate to a US campaign?
A couple of years ago, a Mexican citizen was caught trying to donate
and buy off San Diego officials.
I'm sure someone will be knocking on their door, to see what's what.

Perhaps sonny-boy can convince the other (former) candidates to chip in some of their leftover war chest $$. I mean, they all pledged to vote for him, right?
