Simon Cowell walks off stage with scared puppy on 'Britain's Got More Talent'

In London, talent judge Simon Cowell walked off the stage during a recent episode of "Britain's Got More Talent" with a trembling Dalmatian puppy which had been part of a quiz game offering the four judges a puppy every time they answered a question correctly, reports the Mirror.

Then the puppies began to appear on stage; their owners looking on from the sidelines, but Cowell didn't find the game amusing nor did he wish to further participate. When handled the adorable little cuddly ball of cuteness, the puppy was shivering in fear.

“She’s frightened, this one. They shouldn’t be doing this," Cowell told the crew and the owners watching. "Are they your puppies? Are they being looked after? They’re trembling. You should take them home.”

for a show like that. We had one when I was a kid. She came from farm country and was just never comfortable in the city or around little kids. My parents decided it best to give her back to my granddad where they could be around cows and stuff. Beautiful dogs, just a bit strange (think one anyway).

Looked like this one:

Bad judgement all around with this terrible stunt. Brits love their animals and the show's producers probably thought to cash in with lots of cute little puppies, and no one gave any consideration to the poor animals. It was cruel to separate puppies so young from their mothers and littermates, stuff them in crates, ship them off to the TV studio and leave them alone and terrified to face the noise, strangers and bright lights. Doesn't speak well for the owners of those animals who exposed little puppies to such stress, not to mention possible illnesses as they were too young to be fully vaccinated, and for what... fame and fortune? The other "contestants" in that stupid skit didn't object, but cheers to Simon Cowell, the only person who cared enough to stand up for the wellbeing of the puppies.

Sick and tired of people treating animals -- especially young animals -- as nothing but toys.

used to be good, but every thing has to be all shouting, all the time- ain't this exciting? I have Hulu now, and I need to see if PBS still has Julia Childs and Jacques Pepin in their archives. They were chefs, not big mouths.

Always good for at least one good story, and a bunch of wine, each show. Two Fat Ladies (I think that was the name) was pretty good, too.
