Reasons Why Not:

1. Federal investigation and possible prosecution of Bridgegate. Christie hasn't been cleared and there is enough evidence to keep the investigation going.

2. (The real reason why not): When he was a federal prosecutor, Chris Christie, was a bit too zealous. He prosecuted the father of Jared Kushner, the father-in-law of Ivanka Trump. Daddy Kushner was a big deal developer, gave lots of money to charities, and lost his good name --- and he went to jail for more than two years, because of Christie.


Don't discount Ivanka Trump and her husband. They will not be pleased if Christie is Donald Trump's running mate. They may compromise on another administrative position, but not VP.
