parts of it want to form their own states. As usual, it is the more rural, conservative areas where it has any traction.

It's more of a breakup movement, not really secession from the US.

And we'd happily take California from about Red Bluff northwards...the part of the state that regularly (and justifiably) complains the rest of California completely ignores. Pretty good match for us, really.

1 of which is currently serving. Hell no, we won't go! It takes all 50 states to give us strength. Those who tout disunity are sowing the seeds of massive destruction.

As to the secessionists, they have been around my whole life. Hopefully they will never reach critical mass. If Texas goes I imagine Travis, Harris, Tarrant and Dallas counties will succeed from Texas, ala Jones county, MS and other unionist who lived in the CSA.

NOBODY in Texas wasn't to secede. It is far from anyone's minds. Anyone that matters, that is. Yes there are a relative handful of nuts that have espoused secession since 1845. But nobody that matters even thinks it's an idea worth expending even an iota of effort on.

Since around the 1940's I think, so OBVIOUSLY this Texit scheme has been in the works for a long time.
