The cops shot an armed man in self defense. The streets of Baton Rouge are a little safer tonight.

Thx

Thank you for showing why I need to post articles like in the op.

6. Yeah, poor thing. He was just selling CDs with an illegal gun stuffed in his pants....

while refusing to cooperate with law enforcement. Citing this guys record, it's hard to imagine that Baton Rogue isn't better off. He was a woman beating sex offender. I can't believe people are defending this guy.

I'm not following you, I responded to your OP and you replied.

Defending ones right to not get shot in the back for a minor offense is a good thing. I hope someday you are able to understand that.

9. A minor offense? A felon in possession of a firearm is a serious federal crime.

Keep in mind, the police were called because someone saw a person threatening someone else with a gun...and the cops show up to find Sterling carrying a gun. It must have been a coincidence.

10. Wrong again. And again. They didn't find his gun until they had him down on the ground.

Selling CDs is a minor offense. That's what they were on him for.

From what you say it is obvious you didn't read the article I posted.

Salamoni and Lake had responded to a disturbance call in which the caller said someone had been threatening him with a gun, police told the news station.

The cops were responding to a call for a person threatening someone with a gun.

Awful result.

in his pants pocket.

They shot him, then found his gun. The person I replied to makes it sound like they found him with a gun then shot him. " show up to find Sterling carrying a gun".

because of a report of a man with a gun. If you watch the video at the following link they have a recording of the actual dispacher radio call.

http://www.kswo.com/story/32388050/the-investigators-police-dispatch-tapes-obtained-in-alton-sterling-shooting

The Baton Rouge Police dispatch tapes from the night of the deadly shooting of Alton Sterling show officers were initially dispatched to the scene for a report of a man who had pulled a gun on someone.

The dispatcher tells officers they had received a call of suspicious person at 2100 North Foster. She tells officers the suspect is "on the corner" and that the person has a "gun in his pocket."

"He pulled a gun on a complainant and told him he couldn't be around there," the dispatcher said.

17. Then why would they approach the guy in such manner close up!? One of them screamed GUN

... as if the aforementioned data about the gun was unknown.

The two missing body cams and the store clerks account throws this in the stank arena already, like a cop failing to fill out an incident report after killing someone.
