If someone says "the end is coming" while standing on a street corner, they probably are an 'end timer'; if they say it while in an armed stand-off with police, it's more likely to be about that situation or their life.

Several years ago there was an incident in the Chicago area where the FBI were chasing a husband/wife bank robbery duo. They captured the husband and were chasing the wife. The official report released to the public was that the woman killed herself. The real story - law enforcement killed her.

My SIL's brother has some involvement in the case so passed along to us what her brother was telling the family.

By the way, when they were taking the husband my SIL heard that they gave him a rough ride. One of the charges filed against him was attempted murder of a police officer (my SIL's brother).

Until then, it's guesswork and rumormongering, as all sides feverishly speculate on who they hope it is, and isn't. FR hopes it's BLM. DU hopes it's some antigovernment loon. My guess is it's a disturbed individual or individuals who happened to latch on to this cause but could easily have latched on to something else.
