Catholic Charities affiliates received a total of nearly $2.9 billion a year from the government in 2010, about 62 percent of its annual revenue of $4.67 billion. Only 3 percent came from churches in the diocese (the rest came from in-kind contributions, investments, program fees and community donations).

So they managed to get about 1.7 billion from other sources. I would bet if they pulled a Swaggart they could get the rest.

THEY are claiming discrimination because they can no longer discriminate with impunity. Now that is Whining with a capital W.

They should fold if they cannot follow the law.

Oh, please.
The hierarchy of the church is conservative right now.

Some day soon it will swing back to a period of tolerance of others. Don't condemn all Catholics because some of the higher ups are close minded.
