I have a question. Where is Hiliary convention hall going to be,
and it is going to be a good place to have one. I'm sorry if I missed this!

And it'll be at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

2. Wells Fargo Center in Philly
Not sure if it's a good place to have one. Seems like it will be fine.

3. The Security Zone is much smaller than the RNC

5. The security zone is completely separate from Center City...
...where all the daytime events will be held and where ordinary life will go on. Nobody should be inconvenienced at all.

6. And maybe local business will not be negatively impacted
The sold this crap show in Cleveland to the local business as a boon and even going so far as allowing bars to stay open to 4 am. And no one showed up at the local restaurants, not even local customers.
Everyone has to go through security and does not want to go back out just to eat. |

7. That's interesting. Our convention and park for demonstrations
are away from the center of town. Maybe the night life will be less impacted.

8. For the business owners, I hope they are not.

9. Well, they are away from the center, while
being downtown apparently was bad for business in Cleveland. The first two days at least of our convention are going to be hellishly hot, which can be bad for business and law enforcement, but otoh, maybe it'll drive most people to go sit down inside and order something cool.
Considering how relatively few troublemakers showed up in Cleveland (notably far fewer Trump supporters than expected), I'd expect even better in Philly. And, of course, the fart-in, if they haven't rethought that one, will be inside a giant arena with good air conditioning. ![]() |

10. It's an odd place for the convention I think...
considering there aren't any hotels or anything you can (or would want to) walk to nearby. Delegates and special guests will need to be bussed in from Center City where everything including their hotels are. Broad Street and 95 will be a nightmare every time a dignitary needs to get there.
Once inside the arena it's great, but it is a bit removed from the action, unlike Cleveland where the arena is right downtown. |
