What message are they trying to convey? If you assume most people only listen to/hear the words they know, I guess that would be:

You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need

What message is Trump's campaign trying to send? You didn't want me, but I'm what you need anyway? Is that message aimed at other Republicans? Democrats? And how would Trump's ego accept the idea that he wasn't what they wanted? I am baffled by that song choice.

In the Reagan era AC/DC was one of those "aligned with Satan" bands -- now the old farts with Trump baseball caps are gyrating to their lyrics: "she told me to come but I was already there," "the walls start shaking," etc etc

Hell, Trump was on the cover of Playboy, and spent most of his life boasting about the number of women he claims to have screwed. It's Those Other People they want to scold, shame or shun.

They will forgive any (Republican) man who sleeps around, but not a woman. They want some women who will submit to them (see: Roger Ailes), but will shame them if they're open about sex and will do it when it suits them. "Double Standard" might as well be the name of their party.

They take without asking. Because they can. Because they're entitled. So why not?

They also had the delegates dancing to AC/DC song including "You shook me all night long" and Rod Stewart "In the morning don't say you love me"!

The band must have been hearing some stories!

Regardless of whether they have legal standing to object:

"Your use of the song 'All Right Now' as background music during the official introduction of your Vice Presidential pick is probably a violation of Free’s common law trademark rights, common law service mark rights, and trade name rights, and this letter constitutes a demand that you cease and desist any and all use of the song 'All Right Now' in any campaign-related events, functions, or shindigs," the band wrote in the Twitter letter. "You should probably forward this letter to your attorney, unless, like us, you somehow couldn’t scrape together enough cash or precious gems to hire one and have foolishly elected to represent yourself."

<snip>

"Our concern, Don (we’re calling you Don, hope that’s cool), is that your divisive rhetoric will tarnish the spirit of the song and all that it stands for," the letter continues. "We can certainly admire a good lampooning of the political system (something you’ve definitely accomplished), but even we can recognize when a joke has gone too far. And believe us, we know a thing or two about taking a joke too far."
