msnbc - Shooter is a German.

reading from German web site, gunman told people on a balcony that he was German and apparently anti-turk. May be right wing hate group and not Isis related.

Obviously I wish it hadn't happened at all, but since it did is it wrong that I am relieved that this shooting won't be one more data point in Trump's pitch for banning Muslims from coming to the US?

…that a self-proclaimed Muslim on the scene reported that the McDonald's shooter shouted "Allahu Akbar." Curious that they take this phoned-in testimony at face value, and don't report eyewitnesses who claim a gunman claimed to be German and shouted anti-immigrant slogans.

people down for the sole purposes of causing fear and confusion, and causing law enforcement to look the wrong direction initially.
