Excuse the loaded question.

From now until mid-November, at least.

Edited to add: Although I disdain the use of the "sarcasm" smiley, I've been advised that it might be helpful in this particular context.

To what possible end?

You think reforms will be seriously pursued during off-election times?
It would seem that those who were harmed by the emails would have strong incentive to pursue it, no?

The problem has now been identified, so those affected by the problem should hold the DNC's feet to the fire to correct it. If they don't--if they sit back and wait for the DNC to self-correct--then they'll wind up complaining about the same issue the next time around.

But if the far-Left makes a big stink about it now, right as the convention is beginning and the general election is underway, then they'll be doing Trump a big favor. And if Trump manages to win in November, the the far-Left can be certain that the Democratic party will marginalize and ignore them for the next 100 years or so.

It is a worthy fight, but it is not the priority right at this moment.

but then she was placed as "honorary" chair of the Clinton campaign.

So there really was no repudiation of DWS's actions at all, instead she received a fresh, wet kiss from the Clinton campaign.

on your shoulders? Ever wonder?

I'm pretty sure the DNC leadership is appallingly aware of the enormous stakes in this election. Certainly Hillary is carrying a tremendous burden. In the end, we all depend on her success.

DWS resignation helps with that

This problem is a lot like rust on a ship. The very existence of the ship on an ocean attracts rust. It's always needing chipping away and repainting.

The DNC will always need to be on guard to ensure that it's goal of impartiality and even-handedness is closely approximated. Establishing a tradition of discipline that makes that happen is a long term project.

DWS will be an example, but there are other culpable people who must be identified and worked through a process that will determine if their future service to the DNC is salvageable.

Keep it up and you will get what you ultimately want, defeat Hillary.

But realize that what you will get in the end, is a Trump America.
Expect:
Another Great Recession
Return of High Unemployment
Another War or more.
More Domestic Violence and it will be done at the urging of what ever Trump will call himself.

You can expect all government protections to be eliminated EPA, Labor Laws, Food and Drug, Discrimination... and more.

But hey what's important? Democracy or worrying about Debbie Wasserman Schultz?

I choose Democracy and will fight the big fight, Stopping Trump!

And it seems he may be right, the way the bernies are all up in arms at a convention where their guy lost, fair and square. Question is, are the bernies stupid? Do you really think Hillary would be so terrible as to be as bad as Rump?

There they are, already sans noses, wishing theirs had grown back so they could cut it off again.

Not a little concerned about Trump being Putin's puppet?

No problems with our government secrets being revealed to blabbermouth?

No worries about an out-of-control narcissist with his finger on The Button?

Glad to see you don't sweat the small stuff.

19. the fact that DWS was so quickly hired by Hillary says something

Stepping back, it is better that a Hillary-partisan is actually on Hillary's TEAM rather than running the DNC. The DNC is supposed to be neutral; DWS was not, and she certainly belongs on Hillary's team instead of running the DNC.

But Hillary's quick hire of DWS tells you about all you need to know.

Still, take a cue from Bernie. He says this incident will not cause him to quit backing Hillary.
