he's not really my brand of Democrat, too conservative.

I don't recall what it was, but it has stuck in my memory as a NOPE.

Iran deal with a few other Democratic Senators. He's also been a supporter of school vouchers (and not great on public education in general).

Never understood why people were excited about him, especially when he was running against a good progressive like Rush Holt (though Holt came in 3rd behind Pallone).
